SPD is participating in the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum (APrIGF) to be held from 12th to 14th September 2022 in Singapore. The forum is being organized as a platform for discussion, exchange and collaboration to advance Internet governance development in the Asia Pacific region. Topics of discussion include combating disinformation, data justice, inclusivity in digital education, and other related issues that have become further important to recognize and tackle in the post COVID19 pandemic world.. SPD’s participation is arranged by Engage Media as part of collaborative work since 2021.
To enhance the skills of Maldivian youth SPD signed the agreement with Women and Democracy to start digital literacy program. The program includes, Digital literacy, Digital Citizenship, Critical thinking and analysis, Adaptability and accountability, Building positive habits and it is a free online course.

Society for Peace and democracy is participated DRAPAC23 (Digital Rights Asia-Pacific 2023) Assembly (formerly called Asia-Pacific Digital Rights Festival) in Chiang Mai, Thailand on May 22-26, 2023. The weeklong event was a good opportunity to showcase GIF work, individual work, and explore possible collaborations with other organizations in the region.
